What can I do about malicious spyware/adware that redirects me to spam sites and disables my background?
I’ve been having this problem since last night. First my desktop background picture was changed to a pop-up advertising some kind of bogus spyware/adware remover. When I tried to reset my background, I found that the normal tab for it was missing. Today every time I search for something on Google or Yahoo, I’m redirected to spam sites. I’m at my wit’s end and have no clue what to do. I’ve already checked the computer with CrapCleaner, AVG, S&D, and Ad-Aware 6. Nothing is helping!
i had a simliar problem.
the antivirus XP2008 installed by itself
and my wallpaper is white saying that i ahve bugs and stuff
luckily i got rid of it with SPYBOT S&D,
but, it turns out that the problems were permanent
i only had 3 tabs when i tried to change my background and none of those were for the wallpaper.
then i noticed that the internet was slow as a turtle.
I entered real birthday and have parental controls on xbox and can’t download M rated demos even with full access. If I buy a new gamer tag for 800 microsoft points (like $12) can I enter a new birthday and have full access?

I just repaired a major crash on my computer( I think it was because of this trojan) and I still have it. I have tried AVG and NoAdware.
