I'm looking for a free new protection for my pc.I have Windows XP. What is the best.?

I used Norton, then I used Zone Alarm free of adware with spyware.I is then given a disc of McAfee for the previous year (after security), but is not found when a few hours ago I installed on the PC is very slow and very slow by scan.So im looking for some songs slower than my PC does not work and offer something that does not work well protection.Also take all day to scan anything! I've been looking avast, avg and zone alarm.Anyone feedback on these recommendations or? Thanks

I have used AVG Anti-Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware spyware two murderers for years. They are free for personal use and I had no problem with trojans etc AVG does not slow your system by as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. I am an avid (or should I say in anger) Facebook user. I use the social networking site to keep in touch with my family and friends, play Scrabble, I Items mail and web links that I find interesting, post pictures, and I'm updating my state at least once a day.

Last week I noticed that several of my friends on Facebook has posted the following message to your situation: IMPORTANT! Privacy FB heads up! Add to your personal information: Starting today, a new privacy settings called "Instant Personalization", which shares data with websites that are not Facebook, and adjust automatically set to "Allow." Go to Account Settings> Privacy> Web Sites and Applications and uncheck "Allow." Care enough to copy and transfer!

Frankly, when I saw the message, I thought it was probably wrong – just another rumor spread like wildfire on the Internet. But today, the new York Times and USA Today published articles pointing out that Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO vision of making more visible the social network giants of the Internet is opposed by some powerful politicians, including Charles Schumer, New York Democrat, Michael Bennet, D-Colo., Mark Begich, D-Alaska, and Al Franken, a Democrat from Minnesota. The senators are calling for Facebook to simplify privacy controls, and makes user data more widely available in non-Facebook websites. They are particularly alarmed by the new function that allows Facebook No Web sites Facebook after the personal opinions of Facebook users without their consent. They also oppose the changes that made the modern city of city user's home, their tastes, interests and friends of the public that were previously only seen by friends.

Now the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) plans to discuss the matter.

Facebook could have avoided a barrage of negative publicity and government intervention policies had Privacy simple, transparent and consumer-friendly.
