parental controls on internet
Is there wireless routers that have parental controls?

ATT Yahoo DSL use as our ISP. We have a wireless router 2Wire works very well, but does not provide any parental control. I have a couple of kids who have laptops and want to limit where they go from Internet. Is there a wireless router that has parental controls and will work with ATT DSL? Please note: not want to install the software on their laptops, because they will find a way around that. I want to control Internet access on the wireless router.

A quick search located some routers that have parental controls. D-Link and ZyXEL both seem to have routers with built-in parental controls.

Internet Safety Begins @ Home

My company, RiaEnjolie ( www.RiaEnjolie.com ) designs sites Solution for small and medium enterprises. This makes us an internet company and puts us in a position of authority and responsibility to help to educate others on the topic of Internet safety.

href = "http://viciousbabushka.typepad.com/.a/6a010536b72a74970b0120a754d47c970b-pi">

RiaEnjolie is interested in doing their part to help keep your customers, visitors and all those around them, protected traps and predators lurking in the corners Dark Web. We know there are still many people who may not be very familiar with most of the dangers that exist for them and their families on the web -. especially young children that is why I am the author of a blog on the topic of Internet security. RiaEnjolie is interested in doing their part to help keep its customers, visitors and all those around them, to the pitfalls of shelter and predators lurking in dark corners of the Web.

Your company is public. His life is private. Your children are precious.

Your business website is designed so that customers can find. Your personal identity is the opposite. Want to stay in anonymity as possible. This is something their children should also be considered. Children are usually more trust in strangers than adults. Also are much less experience when it comes to recognize many systems developed by Internet criminals to profit from them. Before addressing some of the more complex issues most adults have to take into account and that we – Internet security measures review for children – first.

As an aid to education, following safety tips are provided for children and that they have a very direct and writing are very young children identified much more easily.:

————————————————– ——————

'S RIAENJOLIE SAFETY FOR CHILDREN IN INTERNET

  • Always ask your mom and dad if it's OK to enter the following information anywhere equipment:
    • Your full name
    • Your username or Business Name (Whatever your family and friends call you)
    • Home location
    • His home telephone or mobile number
    • Your name and address of school
    • Their names brothers and schools that
  • Always tell your mom and dad, if you see something on your computer scares you or you do not understand. Doing nothing until they saw nothing.
  • Do not respond to all messages of unknowns that make you feel scared, confused, afraid that something bad can happen to your family if you rewrites. View the message to his mom and dad immediately.
  • You should never give credit card numbers or passwords on the computer. Ask Mom and Dad to see why these things are asked and let them decide if they want to share.
  • Never say "yes" to strangers know from your computer, you may want to meet you at the mall or elsewhere. Ask your mom and dad first and see if they go with you. The person seeking to comply with them may act as another person.
  • The things I read on your computer usually seems to be met, since it seems that things are accustomed to reading their textbooks and newspapers. Learn the difference between true and false information and do not understand something, ask your mom and dad to explain.

————————————————– ——————

It may not be a bad idea for parents to create a small sign with six points (top) and upholstery home near their children's computer use in general online.

Indeed, it is always a good idea to put the machine in a common home area, where it is easier for you to control the Internet activity of their children. You must be physically close enough to where they spend most of his spare time, so it's not embarrassing for them to get their attention if they see something that scares or confuses the monitor. Indeed, the control of the parents is something that all parents may want to consider installing on your computer at home, as another measure of security on the Internet.

With their children about Internet safety rather However, there are several more complex and sophisticated adults maybe things to worry about their own and their families greater protection.

Security Measures Internet Every adult should be aware

Think carefully before creating an e-mail or a screen name. Web experts recommend using a combination of letters and numbers in both – and does not specify who is a man or a woman.

If ever in a chat room, we recommend that you use a different alias name user. In this way, you can leave a cat in an awkward position instantly without having to fear that someone, who now know the name of the screen can be used to try to locate your e-mail and get to harass. Or maybe go beyond using your e-mail to track where you live or work.

Under no circumstances should never provide any personal information following on the Internet, especially if you receive an e-mail "phishing" for these things:

  • Name
  • home address
  • Phone numbers
  • Social Security Number
  • Passwords
  • names of family members
  • Credit card numbers (make sure that all transactions in insurance sales)

Most reputable companies will never ask for this information online. So if someone does, you may want to try to steal your identity and your money.

Here are some additional points of ball security to be taken into account:

1. Never store your password in your browser and make sure to remove all temporary files, cookies and browsing history every time you leave for basic spyware. Malware annoying, and "Trojan Horse" virus can steal your information personal marketing purposes or to make some plans of many more criminal damage. 3. Vary your passwords for sites you visit, including banking operations Online. You do not want do not have a "key" that opens all doors. 4. Do not create passwords that others can easily guess, such as your birthday or the name of your dog. Same with the answers to all questions of security used to protect passwords. And if you can, always try to create passwords are an unusual combination of letters and numbers. 5. Make sure you use a router and still keep it password protected. Do not use "admin" as the network password default. It is easy to understand. 6. Install anti-spyware software on your computer and keep it updated – regularly. 7. Provided a site redirects do not know why, closes the browser and restart the computer in Safe Mode. Best to do some analysis of virus and spyware as soon as possible, and what can be cons. 8. Lock all pop-ups and pop-ups are not allowed to appear on a one to one, the permission basis only. 9. God created the spam filter for a reason -. Your good mental block spam! If you've been hacked, you can report abuse or E-Wiredcops police. If you are the object of something worse and require a report on Internet crime, contact the Government Computer Crimes Unit.

Internet Freedom and Internet security? Not necessarily a compromise

As Over time, we find that the Internet becomes increasingly part of everyday life. Most of us use to keep in touch with our friends, to make duties, to find great places to visit that offer great discounts and hear the latest news and sports scores. Frankly, there are no viable alternatives to Internet that can do these things with just one click. Nothing even close.

So with all potential security threats can not front through the Internet, which is still worthwhile to go online? For most of us, hell, yes! Just know where the traps and predators can hide and exercise caution and common sense. Do your homework in advance and be happy and secure.

Your Internet experience .. Should be enjoyable and productive which can be very easy, but, like anything else that is new and different, you must be strong, understanding and prepare – in advance – for something unpleasant that may come your way.
